The Callisto Protocol, the highly-anticipated survival horror game from Striking Distance Studios

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – August 9, 2022 – Following gamescom’s recent announcement confirming KRAFTON, Inc. as a participant in this year’s trade show, the creators of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS revealed that its presence in Cologne, Germany will be spearheaded by two of its independent studios: Unknown Worlds (creators of the Subnautica series) and Striking Distance Studios (the team made up of industry veterans led by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield).

To kick off its activities at the show, KRAFTON will participate in this year’s gamescom: Opening Night Live showcase on Aug. 23. During the showcase, Unknown Worlds co-founder and game director, Charlie Cleveland, will officially reveal a new IP set in a sci-fi world that features imaginative turn-based gameplay. Striking Distance Studios’ CEO Glen Schofield will also take the stage at Opening Night Live to share a new look at The Callisto Protocol, the upcoming next-generation survival horror game that is set to launch on Dec. 2, 2022.

As an official exhibitor at gamescom, KRAFTON will also have a dedicated booth within the conference’s entertainment area. Visitors will have the opportunity to be among the first in the world to play Unknown Worlds’ newest game. Attendees can also take part in The Callisto Protocol’s Inmate Bioprocessing Scan Experience, a special photo opportunity that gives participants a chance to experience the horrors that await them when the game releases later this year.
