HOWL CROWNED PUBG EMEA CHAMPIONSHIP: SPRING CHAMPIONS
- Date2023. 03. 27
The roster claims the largest share of the prize pool and qualifies for PUBG Global Series 1
The Tooth and Nail Grand Finals
PEC: Spring was the first opportunity for the EMEA teams to acquire the much coveted PGC Points needed to qualify for PGC at the end of the year. It was also an opportunity for two non-Global Partner teams to get a chance to play at PGS1. HOWL, who qualified through the lower bracket of the PEC: Spring Playoffs , spent most of the Grand Finals at the top of the leaderboard. However, near the end of the final day, their first-place position had started to slip. They entered the last game in second place, and their fate was decided at the literal last second of the match with RuerN picking up one last kill point and Exalt falling just short of a Chicken Dinner. Acend Club, who shared the final point total with HOWL but had fewer placement points, secured a well deserved second place. Both teams have qualified through to PGS1. Exalt and FUT Esports, putting on a dazzling show and vying for the champion title until the last minutes of the match, took third and fourth places respectively.
