Take charge of a private military company during Steam Real-Time Strategy Fest and Steam Next Fest

5minlab, a creative studio of KRAFTON, announced the second demo for its new PC game, Private Military Manager, will be available during Steam Real-Time Strategy Fest from today until 27 January, and Steam Next Fest from 24 February until 3 March.

Private Military Manager is a tactical management simulation game where players act as the CEO of a private military company, tasked with growing their organisation and executing various missions through strategic decisions.

The first demo of Private Military Manager, launched on Steam in September last year, was selected as a “Popular Upcoming Release.” The newly released second demo introduces a new Free Play Mode alongside the existing Story Mode. Free Play Mode allows players to select missions freely and enjoy a more personalised gameplay experience.

Players, as the leaders of their private military companies, are responsible for recruiting new mercenaries, planning training schedules, managing rewards, and overseeing equipment and weapons. Effective management is crucial for developing novice mercenaries into seasoned veterans who can handle challenging missions.

Combat is carried out automatically based on pre-established strategies, but players can monitor real-time progress and make critical adjustments. Tactical decisions, such as infiltration methods, engagement distances, and combat rules, play a pivotal role in turning the tide of missions.

Each mercenary in the game possesses unique abilities and traits, and players can unlock and acquire up to 194 perks as their team grows. Additionally, 81 types of weapons and armour can be combined to create optimal strategies tailored to specific missions.

The second demo of Private Military Manager will be featured at the Steam Real-Time Strategy Fest, taking place from 20 January to 27 January. This event is part of Steam’s regular genre-specific sale festivals, offering discounts on a variety of existing real-time strategy games and showcasing demos of upcoming titles.

Following this, PMM will participate in the Steam Next Fest from 24 February to 3 March, where it will make its official debut to a global audience. Held three times a year in February, June, and October, the Steam Next Fest is a highly anticipated event where players can try out demos of upcoming games and watch real-time game streaming sessions.

The second demo of Private Military Manager will be available for download on Steam today and is currently under development, targeting an Early Access release in the second quarter of 2025.
